Kendrick Lamar is set to take center stage at the NFL's biggest event next year, headlining the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. On Sunday, the NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation confirmed that Lamar will lead the halftime performance at the Caesars Superdome on February 9.

Excited to bring hip-hop to the NFL's championship game once again, Lamar shared his anticipation. "Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date," he said in a statement. "And I'll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one." Lamar previously performed at the Super Bowl in 2022 alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.

Since his debut album *good kid, m.A.A.d city* in 2012, Lamar has achieved tremendous success, earning 17 Grammy Awards and becoming the first non-classical, non-jazz artist to win a Pulitzer Prize for his 2017 album *DAMN.* His most recent album, *Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers*, was released in 2022. This year, Lamar was featured on "Like That" with Future and Metro Boomin, a track that spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. He also scored another hit with "Not Like Us," a diss track aimed at fellow rapper Drake amid their ongoing rivalry.

Jay-Z, founder of Roc Nation, praised Lamar as a "once-in-a-generation" artist, emphasizing his global impact on music and culture. "Kendrick's work transcends music, and his impact will be felt for years to come," Jay-Z stated.

Roc Nation, alongside Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins, will serve as co-executive producers of the halftime show, with creative direction provided by Lamar's company, pgLang.
