Here’s a recap of the action from UFC 307:

Main Event: Alex Pereira defeats Khalil Rountree Jr. by TKO (strikes) at 4:32 of Round 4

Alex Pereira defended his light heavyweight title for the third time this year, finishing a tough Khalil Rountree Jr. in the fourth round. Rountree Jr. landed significant strikes in the early rounds, slowing Pereira with his speed and southpaw stance. However, as the fight progressed, Pereira found his range and battered the challenger before ending the fight against the fence in the fourth round. Pereira improved to 9-1 in the UFC with title victories in two divisions and three defenses this year.

Co-Main Event: Julianna Peña defeats Raquel Pennington by split decision (48-47, 48-47, 47-48)

Julianna Peña reclaimed the UFC women’s bantamweight title in a tight, back-and-forth contest against Raquel Pennington. Pennington landed effective strikes throughout, but Peña’s grappling and ability to take the fight to the ground earned her the edge. After 25 minutes of competitive action, Peña won the split decision, marking her second reign as champion.

Mario Bautista defeats José Aldo by split decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29)

Mario Bautista extended his winning streak to seven, earning a split decision victory over the legendary José Aldo. Bautista used a relentless pace and mixed attacks to wear down Aldo, who had his moments, particularly in the second round. Ultimately, Bautista’s pressure and clinch work earned him the biggest victory of his career.

Roman Dolidze defeats Kevin Holland by TKO (injury stoppage) at 5:00 of Round 1

Roman Dolidze secured a TKO win after Kevin Holland suffered a rib injury at the end of the first round. Dolidze controlled much of the round, keeping Holland grounded and landing blows. When Holland attempted to shift, he appeared to injure his rib, leading to the fight being stopped before the second round began. This victory added to Dolidze’s winning streak, making him a rising force in the middleweight division.

Kayla Harrison defeats Ketlen Vieira by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Kayla Harrison picked up her second UFC win, defeating Ketlen Vieira in a hard-fought unanimous decision. The two-time Olympic gold medalist controlled the fight on the ground, but Vieira had moments where she landed heavy shots, visibly damaging Harrison. Despite the adversity, Harrison’s grappling dominance secured her victory, likely positioning her for a title shot.

Overall, UFC 307 delivered another unforgettable night of action, capped off by an exciting main event and strong performances throughout the card.
