‘Final Destination Bloodlines’ Trailer Brings Horror Franchise Back to Life After 14 Years
The Final Destination franchise is set to make a comeback with a new teaser trailer for its first movie in 14 years. Final Destination: Bloodlines, directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, will hit theaters and IMAX on May 16. The sixth installment in the horror series follows Stefanie (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), who is on a quest to find the one person who might be able to break the deadly cycle that has claimed the lives of her family members.
The film also stars Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Rya Kihlstedt, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and the late Tony Todd. In the trailer, a tattoo artist (Harmon) expresses frustration before things take a dark turn in his shop.
Final Destination: Bloodlines is written by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor, with Jon Watts contributing to the story. The movie is produced by Watts, Craig Perry, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, Dianne McGunigle, and Toby Emmerich.
The Final Destination series started with the 2000 film, directed by James Wong, where a teen (Devon Sawa) experiences a premonition of a plane crash, saving his friends, but they all meet grisly deaths shortly after. The first film grossed $112 million globally, a figure that would be around $205 million today.
