There’s buzz on the street that Snoop Dogg will be performing at the inaugural ‘Crypto Ball,’ an event hosted by David Sacks, who has been nominated as Trump’s "AI and Crypto Czar." The ball is one of several gatherings to celebrate the incoming administration, but many Black fans are less than thrilled about Snoop's involvement.

"Yo, don’t tell me Snoop Dogg is performing for Trump… this better be fake news," one fan tweeted. Another added, "A big f—k you to @SnoopDogg."

This reaction, however, shouldn't be entirely surprising. Snoop Dogg has long had a complicated relationship with Donald Trump. Despite the controversial nature of Trump’s actions and words over the years, Snoop has occasionally expressed respect for him. In 2007, Trump praised Snoop’s music after the rapper appeared on The Apprentice. The two men were also friendly when Snoop participated in a Comedy Central roast of Trump in 2011. This history of back-and-forth interactions between the two has many questioning the rapper’s loyalty and stance in the political realm.
