Bengals vs. Giants score, highlights: Cincinnati grinds out 'ugly'

In many ways, the Week 6 edition of "Sunday Night Football" resembled a classic Big Ten college football game, featuring strong defensive efforts, solid rushing performances, and plenty of punts.

The Cincinnati Bengals secured a 17-7 win over the New York Giants, sticking to that gritty formula. The game saw 10 punts combined between the two teams, along with two missed field goals by the Giants. All three touchdowns came on the ground — a 47-yard scramble from Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, a 1-yard run by Giants running back Tyrone Tracy, and a 30-yard rush by Bengals' Chase Brown, who capitalized on poor defensive positioning.

"Ugly ... real ugly," Burrow said of the win.

Burrow completed 19 of 28 passes for 208 yards, with no passing touchdowns or interceptions. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones threw for 205 yards, completing 22 of 41 attempts, with one interception.

On defense, Bengals defensive tackle B.J. Hill stood out, contributing two pass deflections and two hits on the quarterback against his former team. Defensive end Trey Hendrickson also made an impact with two sacks.

Both Cincinnati and New York now sit at 2-4 as they prepare for divisional matchups in Week 7. The Bengals will take on the Cleveland Browns, while the Giants will face the Philadelphia Eagles.
